Microsoft is widely expected to announce a new Xbox gaming system at the E3 video game conference in June.
Today, Microsoft's Larry Hryb (AKA "Major Nelson" ), Xbox's director of programming, posted a countdown clock to the event on his blog, hinting at a major announcement once E3 begins.
And it doesn't take a lot of guesswork to figure out Hryb is referring to a new gaming console.
That's not all you can expect from Microsoft at E3 though. In addition to a new Xbox, Microsoft is also said to be working on a gaming-centric 7-inch model of its Surface tablet and an Apple TV-like set-top box for streaming content.
