Each year, Kleiner Perkins partner and former analyst Mary Meeker releases an in-depth look at the state of the web, and it's always full of surprising stats.
This morning, she released it at AllThingsD's D11 conference.
Some interesting highlights:
- The average smartphone user reaches for his/her iPhone more than 125 times per day.
- Facebook's percentage of users declined between 2011 and 2012, while YouTube's is gaining fast.
- 65% of the top 25 US tech companies were founded by first and second-generation immigrants.
- There's another app that accounts for more photo shares than Instagram: Snapchat.
