BlackBerry's earnings for last quarter are out.
Here are the highlights:
- $3.1 billion in revenue
- Loss of $0.13 per share (A total of $84 million)
- 6.8 million smartphones shipped
- "Approximately" 100,000 PlayBook tablets shipped
The stock is tanking in before-hours trading. It's down about 20%.
BlackBerry didn't announce how many phones it has shipped that run its new operating system BlackBerry 10, even though this was the first full quarter the devices were available. That's a troubling sign, but hopefully we'll get more details on the company's earnings call.
